Core Beliefs

  1. God is the creator and sustainer of His creation (Genesis 1.1-2,
    Hebrews 3.4, Ephesians 2.10, Psalm 124.8)
  2. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God (John 3.16)
  3. The Holy Spirit is the counselor promised by Jesus and sent by God to guide us in our spiritual walk (Luke 24.49, John 15.26, John 16.7-15)
  4. Jesus Christ was human and divine (Isaiah 9.6, John 1.1-3, Romans 9.5, John 17.3-5)
  5. The being of God exists in three forms; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; co-eternal and co-equal persons (Galatians 4.4-5, Matthew 26.30,42)
  6. To identify with Christ requires that we become disciples, be baptized (immersion), continue to learn and become obedient to God’s Word, that is Jesus Christ (Acts 2.37.47, Matthew 28.18-20,1 Corinthians 1.10-17, Romans 6.3-4, Galatians 3.27, 1 Peter 3.21)
  7. Meet with other believers celebrating communion, fellowship, prayer, teaching and sharing Jesus Christ (Acts 2.42, Matthew

  8. The Bible is God’s Word, complete and accurate for our understanding (Hebrews 4.12, 2 Peter 1.20-21)
  9. Salvation is the gift of the grace of God through our faith in His promises- our faith matters very much! Without the faith that God gives, God’s grace cannot be received. Through our faith, we can know that God has saved us by His grace. (Romans 6.23, Ephesians 2.8-9)
  10. We must ‘love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves’ (Luke 10.27, Matthew 22.37,39, Mark 12.30-32
